Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing is medically reasonable and necessary care performed by a skilled nurse. Skilled nursing includes Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Often, skilled nursing care is ordered for patients upon discharge from a hospital or other inpatient facility. In many cases, patients receiving skilled nursing are homebound, that is, unable to easily leave home to receive treatment for a medical condition by going to the physician’s or other health professional’s office.
Blissful Home health professionals develop nursing care plans to adjust, change or discontinue medications and perform treatments as ordered by the patient’s physician. RNs monitor vital signs, maintain a plan of care, and educate and supervise home health aides in patient care.

Medication Management
It is estimated that at least 55% of older adults do not take medications as prescribed by their doctor. Likewise, it is estimated that 30% of all hospital admissions for people over 65 are directly related to medication noncompliance.
Having multiple medications to deal with can be confusing for both patients and caretakers, and negative outcomes can result from that confusion. Multiple prescriptions alone can be confusing; for example, many medications must be taken multiple times a day while others are only once a day.

The ManageMed Screening©
Developed by NEAT, LLC, the The ManageMed Screening is an assessment tool that can help various clinicians, such as nurses and rehabilitation specialists, to determine if a person can manage a moderately difficult medication routine (i.e. three different medications, all with different dosages and schedules).
Our Occupational therapists counts and manipulates simulated pills and verbally answers a number of questions about real-life medications.
The kit itself consists of a plastic carrying case containing simulated prescriptions, prescription information sheets, “pills” and vials. In addition the test includes a test booklet with reproducible forms, a magnifying glass, and a weekly pill organizer.
The test holds promise for use in rehabilitation by healthcare professionals who are responsible for assessing independent living skills.

Physical Therapy
Physical therapists with Blissful Homecare help improve mobility, restore function, and prevent or limit permanent disability also known as (maintenance therapy) for patients who have experienced an illness or recent injury.
Our Physical Therapist’s treat the following but not limited to;
- falls assessment and recovery plans for people with frequent falls or at risk for falls,
- Orthopedic injuries related to surgery or Joint replacements

Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists will help restore the ability to perform activities of daily living and tasks in the home and work environment. They treat conditions and teach patients how to regain skills or compensate for permanent loss of function.
Conditions treated with occupational therapy include:
- Regain/restore upper body strength R/T Hand injuries(Arm, Wrist) or Surgery
- Joint replacements, Stroke or neurological diseases and injuries
- Conditions affecting impaired self-care ability and Activities of Daily Living

Speech Therapy
Blissful Homecare Speech-language pathologists help to improve our patients who experience problems with swallowing difficulties, speaking, understanding or hearing.
Our Speech-language pathologists treat patients with the following:
- Difficulty speaking or cannot speak clearly
- Have swallowing difficulties related to Stroke, or any Neurological conditions
- Have trouble reading or writing
- Difficulty completing tasks, concentrating, remembering information, problem solving, reasoning or exercising good judgment.
